The problem

Safari is fast and private, but with dozens of tabs across different projects it turns into a row of unreadable icons. The browsers that fix this ask you to leave Safari behind.

What I built

Perch lives in the menu bar and opens a sidebar next to Safari. It groups tabs into spaces, finds any open tab as you type, and has a hands-free mode: say “Hey Perch” and ask it to switch tabs, scroll or click.

It’s a native SwiftUI and AppKit app, notarized by Apple, and it works with Safari through the system’s automation permissions rather than a browser extension.

Result

Version 0.1 is available to download for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
